Initially, adding structural ballistic armor may seem simple. Some will lead you to believe it is no more difficult than standard construction. In actuality, the ballistic armoring field is very complex. Discerning players in the industry are companies that use Underwriters Laboratories Standard (UL752) exclusively as their guideline. Protective Structures understands the difference between being UL LISTED and "meets UL Standards." PSL does not use or consider any other testing facility as being comparable to UL.

While not all of the components in a ballistic armored enclosure need to be UL listed, the major ones, such as the transparent and opaque materials that make up the bulk of the ballistic materials, should carry the "UL Listed" label. As an example, PSL's attachment fixtures may not be UL752, but they are backed by UL-752 materials. It is always the UL752 material that is the protecting agent.
